Tammy was raised in Toms River and remained a longtime resident of the community she deeply loved. She was a graduate of Toms River High School North, Class of 1991. Dedicated to a life of care and compassion, Tammy served her community as a certified medical assistant, proudly working for Hackensack Meridian Health for 30 years. She absolutely adored her patients, who famously preferred her warmth and care over the doctors. Her selfless nature extended well beyond her professional career; she never missed an opportunity to help others with her heroic actions.

Tammy Lynn Huth, 53, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Tammy was raised in Toms River and remained a longtime resident of the community she deeply loved. She was a graduate of Toms River High School North, Class of 1991.

Dedicated to a life of care and compassion, Tammy served her community as a certified medical assistant, proudly working for Hackensack Meridian Health for 30 years. She absolutely adored her patients, who famously preferred her warmth and care over the doctors. Her selfless nature extended well beyond her professional career; she never missed an opportunity to help others with her heroic actions.

To know Tammy was to love her, and there was truly no way you could not love her. If love could have saved her, she’d still be with us today. A free spirit who loved deeply and touched countless lives, she was always happy and the undeniable life of the party—always the last person to arrive and the very last to leave.

Tammy will be most remembered for her famous sense of humor, her beautiful smile, and her infectious laughter. She lived life in full color and on her own terms, always rocking her signature “comfy casual” clothing, red lipstick, and mascara, while happily skipping the face makeup she truly hated.

Tammy brought joy and laughter wherever she went, whether she was dancing, playfully rambling in her fun accents, touching you inappropriately, or handing out a cheerful, “Nicey nice, high five!” An enthusiastic host, she loved cooking and entertaining for those she cared about, famously sharing her chocolate-covered cream cheese.

She also had a wonderful, quirky love for making stops to the gas station just to get her favorite bun-less Speedway burgers. Tammy captured every moment, constantly taking photos of everyone because she believed “you just never know”—even if those pictures always turned out hilariously blurry and later wound up on Facebook for the world to see.Above all, she held a profound faith in God and found her greatest happiness at home, surrounded by the family and friends she cherished.

Tammy was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Huth, as well as her cherished pets, Harley, Mac, and Odin.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaitlyn Comba of Florida; her parents, Henry and Deborah Berkebile of South Carolina; her brother, Henry Berkebile III of Toms River; her stepchildren, Anthony, Jonathan, and Shondrea Huth; her nephew, Henry Berkebile IV; and her niece, Aryonna Berkebile. She also leaves behind her beloved grand-cat, Miss Piggy; her former husband, William Comba; her sister-in-law, Mary Comba; and her daughter Kaitlyn’s half-brother, William Comba.

A visitation and celebration of Tammy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a religious service at 2:15pm, at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Tammy’s honor to your local animal shelter or to a bulldog rescue center, celebrating her deep love for animals.
