Remembering Leonard George Eayre, age 76, passed away surrounded by loved ones

Tammy was raised in Toms River and remained a longtime resident of the community she deeply loved. She was a graduate of Toms River High School North, Class of 1991. Dedicated to a life of care and compassion, Tammy served her community as a certified medical assistant, proudly working for Hackensack Meridian Health for 30 years. She absolutely adored her patients, who famously preferred her warmth and care over the doctors. Her selfless nature extended well beyond her professional career; she never missed an opportunity to help others with her heroic actions.

Leonard “Len or Lenny” George Eayre, age 76, passed away Friday July 31, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Leonard was raised in Barnegat, NJ and resided in Beachwood, NJ for the past 40+ years.

He worked for Ozane pest control for 45+ years until his retirement in 2022.

Leonard is predeceased by his loving wife of over 50 years, Norma, his parents, George & Cora Eayre, his brother Norman Eayre & many aunts & uncles. Leonard is survived by his daughter Maggie & husband Ryan, grand children Nathan, Cameron & Addison, his brother Kenneth & his wife Debra, his brothers Mark, Clarence & Frank, sister Sheila & her husband Thomas, sister in law Helen and many cherished nieces, nephews & great niece & nephews.

Len lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Mets & Jets (despite them losing more than winning). He loved going to Disney, even if he wouldn’t admit it, cruising and just relaxing while spending time with his family. He & his wife would always take rides out to the airpark to watch the planes take off & deer roam or take small road trips just to “take a ride”. While Len could be a quiet person, he was always cracking jokes & had a heart of gold. He would do anything to help anyone & was truly one of a kind.
