Carousel of Music Brings a Week of Free Outdoor Concerts to Ocean County

Ocean County’s beloved Carousel of Music series is rolling into another lively stretch of summer performances, offering residents and visitors a chance to enjoy free outdoor concerts across multiple towns. The county’s latest promotional poster highlights four upcoming shows scheduled between August 12 and August 14, each featuring a different musical act and a unique community venue.

A Three‑Day Lineup Across the County

• Monday, August 12 – Step by Step The week kicks off at Veterans Park, located at 489 Forest Hills Parkway in Berkeley Township, where Step by Step will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Concertgoers can expect an energetic evening as the popular act returns to one of the county’s most spacious outdoor venues.

• Tuesday, August 13 – Verdict On Tuesday, the music moves south to Waterfront Park at 10th Street & Shore Avenue in Ship Bottom. Verdict performs at 6:30 p.m., bringing their signature island‑inspired sound to the Long Beach Island community.

• Tuesday, August 13 – Toms River Municipal Band Also on Tuesday evening, the Toms River Municipal Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. at the Ocean County Library, 101 Washington Street in Toms River. This long‑running local ensemble is known for its classic community‑band repertoire and family‑friendly atmosphere.

• Wednesday, August 14 – The Kootz Band The midweek finale features The Kootz Band, performing at 6:30 p.m. at the Ocean County Parks & Recreation Administration Office, 1198 Bandon Road in Toms River. The Kootz are a staple of the Jersey music scene, blending rock, blues, and Americana.

A Community Tradition Encouraging Outdoor Fun

The poster encourages attendees to bring a blanket or beach chair, reinforcing the laid‑back, picnic‑style vibe that has made Carousel of Music a summer favorite. Residents are also directed to www.oceancountyparks.org for more information.

The series is presented by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, including Director Frank Sadeghi, Deputy Director Jennifer Bacchione, and Commissioners Robert S. Arace, Sam Ellenbogen, and Ray Gormley.

A Seasonal Highlight for Shore Communities

With performances spread across Berkeley Township, Ship Bottom, and Toms River, the Carousel of Music continues its mission of bringing free, accessible entertainment to families throughout Ocean County. As summer winds down, these concerts offer one more chance to enjoy live music under the evening sky.
