Ocean County Man Seriously Hurt in I-195 Collision
A 38-year-old Point Pleasant man was seriously injured Friday morning after his SUV veered off Interstate 195 in Jackson, according to New Jersey State Police.
Adam M. Riepl was traveling eastbound on I-195 when his Jeep left the roadway near milepost 17.6 shortly after 6 a.m., said Trooper Caitlin Brennan.
The SUV went off the road to the left, hit a guardrail, became airborne and then slammed into a concrete bridge rail before coming to a stop, police said.
Riepl sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash is still being investigated, Brennan said.
