According to State Police, a Toms River woman died in a five-car pileup on the Garden State Parkway near Wall at noon on Friday.
Kathy Suchodolski, 58, was identified as the woman, according to New Jersey State Trooper Charles Marchan.
A Hyundai, GMC, Ford, Kia, and Jeep were going south on the Garden State Parkway near milepost 96.8, according to Marchan. The Hyundai's back crashed with the GMC, the Ford's front collided with the GMC, the GMC collided with the Kia, and the Kia collided with the Jeep.
Kathy Suchodolski of Toms River, the GMC driver, perished in the incident, according to Marchan. The Hyundai driver, a 36-year-old Brick woman, was injured moderately. The Ford's driver, a 30-year-old Howell resident, was injured moderately.
Four lanes were shut down. There were major delays reported. The accident is still being investigated.
