Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off Returns for a Flavor-Packed Weekend This October

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — One of Long Beach Island’s most iconic fall traditions is back as the Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off 2026 brings a full weekend of chowder tasting, shopping, live music, and coastal community fun to the Taylor Avenue Waterfront.

The celebration kicks off with Merchant’s Mart on Saturday, October 3 from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering free admission for a full day of browsing local vendors and artisans. Visitors can enjoy food, shopping, live music, and a wide selection of beer, wine, and seltzer while exploring dozens of booths showcasing the best of the Jersey Shore’s small businesses.

On Sunday, October 4 from 11 AM to 4 PM, the spotlight turns to the beloved Cook-Off Classic, where tasting officially returns. Attendees can sample chowder from 12 local restaurants, featuring classic red and white varieties along with creative new twists. The waterfront will once again be filled with food vendors, entertainment, drinks, and the energetic spirit that has made Chowderfest a fall staple for decades.

The event is rain or shine, ensuring the tradition continues regardless of weather.
