Boat Catches Fire at Jersey Shore: 1 Person Airlifted

According to the Ocean City Firefighters Assocation, on Friday May 8, at approximately 1311hrs B-Platoon, along with Ocean City Police responded to the area of 32nd and Bay Avenue, for a Boat Fire, in the roadway, with a reported victim.

Upon arrival, firefighters found vessel on its trailer, found it in flames, and a reported injury. The patient was quickly evaluated and a rapid trauma assessment was performed. Due to the nature, the patient was quickly airlifted to definitive care per protocol.

The fire was quickly brought under control and the cause remains under investigation by The Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.
