Daylight Saving Time: When to Change Your Clocks

The Newark Public Safety Director is asking for the community’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Ashley Vargas, who has been reported missing from Newark. Ashley was last seen on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in the area of South 9th Street near Central Avenue.

Police seek help in identifying two suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred in Newark. At approximately 11:45 a.m. Police responded to Grafton Avenue near Broadway on a call of shots fired. Responding Officers located ballistics evidence and later located a male victim.

The New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit has updated New Jersey’s Most Wanted List. In coordination with local law enforcement partners, the Fugitive Unit has added two individuals to the list. Any information, no matter how small, could be critical. All tips will be kept confidential.
