Good Samaritans and Off-Duty Officer, Save Man After Crash on Route 37 and Hooper

An off-duty police officer and several Good Samaritans teamed up to save an elderly man following a car crash in Toms River, New Jersey, over the weekend. Seaside Park Police Patrolman and volunteer firefighter Ryan Stack was off-duty and with his girlfriend Saturday afternoon when they witnessed a crash at Route 37 and Hooper Avenue in Toms River.

Officials: Watch out for Deer on Ocean County roadways during mating season

Officials in New Jersey are advising drivers to drive cautiously on the state's roads as the autumn white-tailed deer mating season approaches. It's peak deer mating season, so expect to see more on the roads (especially during dawn and dusk). Slow down, eliminate distractions, and use high beams in low-visibility areas.
