Rare Jellyfish with a Potent Sting are being found along Ocean County Beaches

Visitors at the Jersey Shore are used to spotting tiny, transparent jellyfish when they dip their toes in the sea. However, more substantial pinkish-purple jellyfish have lately been spotted along the Jersey Shore beaches. This species, known as "mauve stingers," is well-known for its potent sting.
