Following an investigation, a father and son are charged with peddling cocaine and heroin out of their Brick Township home, according to Brick Township Police Department.
The Brick Police Department's Street Crimes Unit stopped Frank J. Russo, 68, and Matthew J. Russo, 39, who were then detained, according to Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli.
When the Russos' car was stopped by the police, the K-9 unit was called in, and the dog detected drugs, according to Finelli. According to her, the car was seized while a search warrant was obtained.
At the Russos' residence on Homestead Drive, the Brick Police Special Emergency Response Team carried out a search warrant and seized heroin, cocaine, and varied quantities of packaging used for distribution, according to Finelli.
The following offenses were brought against Frank Russo: possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, heroin, and both with the intent to distribute.
The following charges were brought against Matthew Russo: possession of cocaine, heroin, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, distribution of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to jail records, both men are being held at the
Ocean County Jail.
