According to Toms River Schools, Justine Pissott, a graduate of North Dover Elementary School and Intermediate North, won a gold medal with the U18 women's basketball team for Team USA.

In order to try out for the squad in Colorado Springs in late May or early June, Pissot had to postpone her high school graduation. She and her teammates left after getting a seat on the team for Argentina, where they took home a gold medal on June 19.

Mom Josephine works at Intermediate East, while Pissot's younger brother Robert currently attends Intermediate North. When Justine returned to New Jersey on June 21, her parents coordinated with Toms River Police, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, and Toms River Volunteer Fire Company 2 to set up an escort home.

Since then, Justine has enrolled in college with the formidable Lady in Knoxville.
