Free Turkeys will be Offered for Toms River Residents in Need

FREE Turkeys on Friday, November 17

At the Presbyterian Church, 1070 Hooper Ave., on Friday, there will be a thousand turkeys available along with the fixings for a Thanksgiving supper.

The Fulfill Foodbank will provide the turkeys, which will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

For the food delivery, there is no need to register, and no questions are posed. Whenever the supplies run out, the food distribution process begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until late morning or early afternoon.

Drive in and volunteers will put the food in your trunk or back seat. Recipients do not have to present any identification or give their name.

Every Friday at the church, free "crisis boxes" from Fulfill are distributed along with fresh bread, potatoes, vegetables, and other food items in addition to the turkeys and trimmings. The boxes, which are free to Toms River, come with enough food to sustain a family of four for six days.
