Due to probable listeria contamination, Wegmans and other retailers have recalled fresh cut fruit and vegetable goods as well as ready-to-eat dips.
Check your refrigerator for food that has been recalled due to a possible Listeria infection if you recently purchased pre-cut fruit from Wegmans grocery stores in the Garden State.
Fresh Fruit Up, Inc. is voluntarily recalling numerous varieties of fresh-cut produce items and ready-to-eat dips owing to a risk of Listeria monocytogenes bacterial contamination, according to federal food inspectors.
Listeria bacteria can cause dangerous illnesses in people of all ages, including the elderly, those with compromised immune systems, pregnant women, and children. Anyone who suspects they are ill should get medical advice.
The fruit and vegetable products were packaged in clear plastic containers with tamper-evident seals and "Best if Used By" dates ranging from March 5 to March 23, 2022, according to the FDA.
The ready-to-eat dips come in seven-ounce transparent plastic clamshell containers with expiration dates ranging from March 15 to March 31, 2022.
Fresh Fruit Up, Inc.'s Lepew, NY facility prepared the items, which were then transported throughout New York and the surrounding states.

The whole list of recalled products may be seen here, including with product descriptions and UPC codes. Fresh Harvest, Lexington Co-op, Tops, and Fruit Fresh Up Raspberry Dip are among the other brands affected by the recall.
Officials ask anyone who may have bought the contaminated products to search their refrigerators or freezers and throw the products away or return them to where they were purchased.
All products may be returned to any Wegmans customer service desk for a full refund.
