Two House Fires in Holiday City in Toms River

Man Dies in Toms River Mobile Home Fire

According to Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention the Silverton Fire Company was called to a reported structure fire in the Holiday City neighborhood of Toms River on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at around 9:45 p.m.

The fire was swiftly put out, and two individuals were rescued by firefighters and Toms River Police. The occupants were taken to a New Jersey Trauma Center by medivac helicopters. Because this is an ongoing investigation, all information requests should be sent to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

A second fire was reported on MT. Juliano in the Holiday City neighborhood of Toms River on Monday, March 21, 2022 at approximately 2:27 a.m. Pleasant Plains Fire Company, East Dover Fire Company, and Silverton Fire Company No. 1 all responded. When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames.

The house's occupants were present at the time of the fire and escaped without injury. There were no other recorded injuries. The Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention and the Toms River Police Department are investigating the fire. There appears to be no link between the two incidents at this time, and the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
