Jillian Ludwig, the18-year-old College Student from Wall Township
Jillian Ludwig, an 18-year-old Wall Township resident who was shot and died by a stray gunshot last week while strolling in a park close to her Nashville, Tennessee, campus, had her funeral rites on Friday.
At
Sea Girt's St. Marks Church, Ludwig's family and friends attended a Christian burial Mass to offer their final respects. Ludwig was well-known for her passion of music and her commitment to give back to the community. Thursday night's visitation was held at the Manasquan funeral home of
Orender.
Shaquille Taylor, 29, is the suspect; he is still being held in jail on counts of aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
In an interview with detectives at police headquarters, Taylor acknowledged to Nashville police that he was the one who fired the rounds. He said that he had given the rifle to someone else.
In Manasquan, Ludwig will be buried in Atlantic View Cemetery.
