I am heartbroken to share that on April 18th, 2022, my husband’s brother, Robert Hammell, had brain surgery to remove a large tumor found in his brain. Although the majority of the tumor was removed, it was discovered that the cancer is also in his thyroid as well as the lungs, after further testing of masses that were also found in those areas. We just received the diagnosis and it is Stage 4 Glioblastoma.

To know Bob is to love him, he has one of the biggest hearts, he is the most amazing, caring brother and uncle to my children, they love him so much. He is currently uninsured and it is heartbreaking that his major concern at the moment is his inability to get back to work to face the financial impact of this fight.

He is a fighter and in good spirits, and we have faith that all will be well, but he has a very difficult battle ahead of him with the rigorous treatment schedule, he will be unable to work indefinitely. His focus should solely be on fighting this battle and his recovery, so I ask that if you are in the position to donate, all donations will be given directly to Robert Hammell, to help with general expenses, surgeries, treatments, chemo, and the inevitable medical bills that will come with fighting this.
