According to New Jersey State Police, the car went off the entry ramp and flipped.
Jake Olivos, 9, of Beachwood, died in a crash on the Garden State Parkway entrance ramp in Lakewood on Saturday night, according to New Jersey State Police.
A Volkswagen Passat veered off the road and overturned on the Parkway southbound near the 89A entry ramp in Lakewood, according to Curry.
Olivos was flung from the vehicle, and the driver received minor injuries, according to him.
Curry said the reason of the collision is still being investigated.
