Celebrating It's Fifteenth Year
15th Annual Asbury Park Zombie Walk is on Saturday, October 7th.
THE ZOMBIE WALK IS RAIN OR SHINE!
There is no rain date for the event. It has rained during the day in the past, and it hasn't kept the undead away, though if there is severe weather predicted they will follow state and local direction to ensure everyone's safety.
The official Zombie Walk Info Booth, Merchandise Stand and Makeup Tent will open right along the Boardwalk on the
4th Avenue Green Space on Saturday starting at 11AM.
Zombie Makeup Artists are Back - Makeup artists will return to the event this year in a limited capacity to offer contact-free airbrush makeup at the Zombie Walk tent located at the 4th Avenue Green Space on the Boardwalk.
Additionally, every attendee is welcome, as is their costuming creativity, but leave ALL prop weapons at home. This is an all-inclusive event which is safe, lighthearted fun.
Costume Contest Judges in the Crowd - The day will also include competitive zombie-ing in the form of a Zombie Costume Contest. Costumed competitors must be on the Boardwalk at 3:00.
Judges will wandering the Boardwalk, choosing finalists for the following:
Best Young Zombie
Best Adult
Best Couple M
Best Group
At 6:00, Johnny Mac House of Spiritswill host the final judging and present both cash prizes and the prestigious new golden zombie trophy to some of the day’s most impressive dead.THE ZOMBIE WALK STARTS - Starts at 4 pm on October 7th. The Walk will begin moving up the Boardwalk, heading from Convention Hall down the boards towards the Casino where it will turn onto Cookman Avenue and head into the Downtown!
THE ZOMBIE WALK ENDS AT JOHNNY MACS! - The Zombie Walk route ends outside of Johnny Macs House of Spirits on Main Street. Judging for the Costume Contest will take place on the stage outside of JMacs immediately after the Zombie Walk!
