Manchester Alum Seeks Volunteers for Daughter's Cancer Fundraiser

5-year-old daughter passed away from cancer

Event: The Charlotte Joy Touch-A-Truck Festival

Location: East Freehold Showgrounds

Date: Saturday, October 7, 2023 Time: 11am-4pm

In order to support the families of children with cancer, a Manchester Township High School alumna is joining with another community member and asking for assistance with a fundraiser.

According to a note from the Manchester Schools, 2003 graduate Lauren Hale Scalese lost her 5-year-old daughter to cancer during the summer.

Lauren is working with the Ashley Lauren Foundation for the Charlotte Joy Touch-A-Truck Festival on Saturday, Oct. 7. It will be from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the East Freehold Showgrounds in Freehold Township.
