Best Viewing Spots to Watch the Fireworks

DATE: Tuesday, July 4

Beachwood 4th of July Fireworks over the Toms River is a donation-funded fireworks display for 4th of July. Beachwood has been hosting the annual Independence Day Fireworks for over 80 years!!

It will be an extraordinary event with food trucks, fun, and games, along with participation from WOBM 92.7 FM, which offers on-site entertainment and games as well as the musical accompaniment to the fireworks show after dark.

The show is the biggest display in Ocean County, and as more people gather to compete for the best views, the population of the riverfront villages grows. In the late afternoon and evening before the show, Route 9 is congested with traffic.

The Best Viewing Spots

The best places to observe are along the banks of the Toms River  in Beachwood, Pine Beach, Ocean Gate, Toms River, South Toms River (near Mathis Plaza), and Island Heights. Make a day out of it and arrive early.

  • Beachwood: Enjoy an afternoon-long celebration where you can pack up the kids and spend the afternoon before the show. Read More About Beachwood 4th of July Fireworks Display
