Kathy Suchodolski

Toms River - Kathy Suchodolski (James) 58, of Toms River, NJ died on Friday January 28, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA she grew up in Palmyra, NJ, lived in Cinnaminson, NJ and Tucson, AZ before moving to Toms River 20 years ago.

She graduated from Rutgers University, Camden with a Bachelor of Arts and first worked for the Harleysville Insurance Company after college, Toms River Board of Education as a Para Professional and then at the Monmouth County Health Dept. in Field Education and recently became a Public Health Representative for the NJ Department of Health in Trenton. Kathy is survived by her loving husband Bill and two daughters Elizabeth Anne of Philadelphia and Alyson Marie of Shoreline, Washington.

Predeceased by her brother William, surviving is her brother Luke (wife Ruth) and 5 sisters; Carol Dickinson (Wayne), Jeannie Warren, Nancy Stannard (Bob), Susan Thress (Wayne) and Diane Gonshor (Joe); Sister in-laws and brothers in-law Theodora Harkins, Peter and Connie Suchodolski and Matthew Suchodolski; over twenty nieces and nephews whom she adored. Kathy cherished her daughters and loved watching them grow to become the kind, independent and successful women they have become.

Kathy never wanted to be the center of attention and was humble, kind and caring, but could (without trying) steal the spotlight with her sense of humor.

There will be a Memorial Gathering for Kathy on Saturday February 5, 2022 from 1 to 3pm with a 2pm Service at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ.

Condolences may be sent to Ryan Funeral Homes. As an expression of sympathy, in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library where she loved to take her daughters to read, in the name of Kathy, 101 Washington St, Toms River, NJ 08753 using the Ocean County Library Memorial Donation form found at the Ocean County Library.
