Doctors at Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania predict that Easton "Tank" Oliverson, who fractured his skull after falling off a bunk bed, will fully recover.

Easton, 12, was scheduled to represent his team, the Snow Canyon of Utah, in the Little League World Series today when he fell early on Monday from a bunk bed at the players' dormitory in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Easton is making "tremendous progress toward recovery and we are anticipating him to have a fairly near total recovery," according to Dr. Oded Goren, an expert in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery.

According to a Thursday update made on an facebook account created to provide updates on his status, the 12-year-old has also been transferred from the intensive care unit into a typical hospital room and is now capable of standing up, eating, and drinking on his own.

He has been speaking to his parents, uncles, and other family members who have been visiting him in the hospital more frequently. When he speaks, his voice is noticeably clearer now!

From all across the world, Easton has received several letters of support. Mookie Betts, the right fielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and who is also Easton's favorite player and the Brigham Young University football team both sent encouraging videos for Easton on Instagram as well as Matt Carpenter from the NY Yankees..

Sadly, Easton won't be able to participate in the Little League World Series game today, but his younger brother Brogan will play on his behalf. Brogan is going by the name "Little T."

The decision to include Easton's younger brother on the squad, according to Snow Canyon coaches, was more than just a show of support for the Oliverson family.

"Although some may view this as as a consolation prize for the circumstances we have found ourselves in, we want everyone to know that (Brogan) is a remarkable baseball player and deserves this chance of his own volition. It is also extremely appropriate that he would be able to join us and take part, just like his brother did, they added.

The first game for Snow Canyon is today at 1 PM MDT. ESPN will air the broadcast.
