TOMS RIVER — The hearts of an entire community are holding space for a little girl whose presence brought immeasurable joy. Maria Haven Piccoli, age 3, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love far larger than her short time on earth.
Maria’s family shared that she will be forever cared for in Heaven by her great‑grandparents Ralph and Therese Piccoli — a comforting image of a beloved child embraced by generations who went before her.
Here at home, Maria remains cherished in the hearts of her devoted family: her mother, Ashley Piccoli; her maternal grandparents, Darryl and Teresa Piccoli; her maternal great‑grandparents, Olga and Hector Amaro; her big brother Jordan Piccoli; and her two big sisters, Antoinette and Alina Piccoli.
She is also held close in love by a large extended family who adored her deeply: Matthew Piccoli, Andrew Piccoli, Salvatore Piccoli, Vincent Piccoli, Ralph Piccoli, Leonard Piccoli and his wife Christine, Patrick Piccoli and his wife MaryAnn, Christopher Piccoli and fiancée Patricia, Jennifer Piccoli, Julio Amaro, Nilza and her husband Luis Gordillo, Maria Amaro, Patricia Amaro, and many cousins who will forever carry her memory.
Those who knew Maria describe her as a bright, beautiful little girl whose joy radiated effortlessly. She brought laughter, sweetness, and light into every room she entered — a child whose presence made ordinary days feel special. Her family’s tributes reflect a love so profound it will continue to echo through their lives.
“All the beautiful memories of you are the ones I’m going to hold forever,” wrote her Aunt Jenny. “You brought so much joy to everyone. Aunt Jenny loves you so much — I will hold you in my heart forever, my little princess.”
Friends, neighbors, and loved ones have filled Maria’s tribute wall with prayers, condolences, and heartfelt messages. “Rest in beautiful paradise, beautiful girl,” one message reads. Another simply offers what so many feel: “My heart and prayers go out to the Piccoli family in this time of loss.”
A candle was lit in her honor, and a memorial tree planted — symbols of a life that continues to inspire love and remembrance.
All arrangements are entrusted to Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River. Services will be private, held Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

Family and friends are invited to share memories, photos, and messages through Maria’s online tribute page. Every memory added will become part of a special keepsake book beginning July 17 — a collective gift of love for her family.
