Mark Your Calendars for the Renowned Jersey Shore Airshow
This summer, thousands of people will attend Atlantic City's airshow, a significant source of tourism earnings.
Officials announced on Monday that the Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival will take place on the beach in Atlantic City from
May 29 to May 31, the weekend following Memorial Day.
The arrangements of the event will be handled by
VisitAC, Atlantic City's tourism marketing division, for the second time. The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce was given that responsibility for many years.
The organizers of the aerobatic show decided not to attend in 2023 and 2024 due to concerns about the event's finances and the availability of acts.
This year's top performers are the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor and the U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II Demo Team.
One of the last major events of the summer at the Jersey Shore, the festival was a longtime August mainstay. The event took place in July of last year after being renamed under a new coordinator.
However, in order to capitalize on the high revenue the resort usually receives during one of the busiest shore travel holidays of the year, Atlantic City tourism officials shifted the event this year to May as a summer kick-off.
