The well-known, family-run Joe Italiano's Maplewood restaurant at the Moorestown Mall has permanently closed.

In a Facebook post, the eatery—one of three Joe Italiano's in the state—announced its closing. 2019 saw the restaurant's opening.

A long-standing Italian restaurant in South Jersey, Joe Italiano's Maplewood is well-known for its fresh bread and thin-style chicken parm.

Joe Italiano Sr. founded the eatery in 1945, and it now has locations in Mays Landing and Hammonton.
The business thanked its customers for their patronage in Moorestown Mall over the years.
