Kathleen Brew ultimately made the decision to retire forty years after protecting children crossing the street to go to school in Toms River. Kathleen has been an asset to Toms River Schools. She was recently honored by the Toms River Township Council acknowledging her for her accomplishments.

She retired this year after protecting children in Toms River for 40 years. Her students are likely to miss her every day as they walk to school, and the police department will miss her charm and grace, according to Chief of Police, Mitch Little.
