Multiple Injuries in Toms River Car Crash on Bay Avenue

According to Toms River Police, a car accident on Bay Avenue early on Friday morning injured three persons,

The one-vehicle collision happened directly west of Oak Avenue. At 2:33 a.m., numerous police units and emergency medical services personnel were sent to the location, according to township spokesperson Phil Stilton.

According to the preliminary accident investigation, Tyjir Wiggs, 20, of the Bronx, was traveling east on Bay Avenue when he veered off the road to the left and collided with a utility pole.

Up to 20 clients lost power as a result of the pole's foundation cracking, which pulled down electrical lines. According to Stilton, the route was also obstructed by the fallen wires.

According to Stilton, Wiggs and his two passengers were brought to the hospital for medical attention. The electrical infrastructure was being fixed on Friday as the car was removed from the area.

Since the crash, many summonses have been sent out. Pasquale Gambardella, a traffic safety officer with the Toms River Police, is investigating the crash.
