New Jersey Experiences Dual Tornado Touchdowns in Recent Storms

N.J. had 2 tornadoes touch down during latest storms

On August 10th Tornados Touched Down in NJ

As powerful storms pounded New Jersey on Thursday afternoon, two tornadoes made landfall there, bringing the yearly total in a state that regularly experiences two tornadoes to 13.

According to the National Weather Service, two tornadoes made landfall on Thursday, August 10, 2023, one in Gloucester County's East Greenwich and the other in Burlington County's Browns Mills.

The National Weather Service confirmed Friday afternoon that both tornadoes were EF-1 on the enhanced Fujita scale. meaning both had winds between 86 and 110 mph.
