Families rang in the New Year with newborns from Toms River to Red Bank.
Aryanna Ortiz, a resident of Seaside Heights, was showered with congratulations on the arrival of her baby, Alliyah, from her partner, Jamarr Hardy. At 12:01 p.m. on Sunday, Alliyah was delivered at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, weighing 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Alejandro and Bertha Carpinteiro of Lakewood welcomed the arrival of their son, who was born at 1:54 a.m. on Sunday, at Ocean University Medical Center in Brick. The boy is 20 inches tall and 8 pounds, 2 ounces in weight.The Steier family welcomed a baby girl at 3:38 p.m. at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces.
On New Year's Day, a boy and a girl were born at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
