Father of 8 Dies at Age 45

Robert T. Wachendorf, age 45, of Brick, NJ passed away on July 22, 2023, at Monmouth Medical Center with his wife by his side. He was born in Flemington, NJ and lived most of his life in Brick.

Rob attended Ocean County College where he earned two associate degrees and met his wife, Kristine. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University. Rob was the father of 7 children and his 8th child is on their way; (Updated: Baby Theo Arrived July 26, 2023) Rob’s whole life was his children; he loved being outdoors with them and taking his family to the beach.

He loved teaching his kids, he taught them to ride their bikes, kayaking and being he was very handy he would teach them to fix things, as he could fix just about anything. Rob also enjoyed good food, music and spending time with Kristine and their children at the family farm where he grew up. He was the ultimate father, everything Rob did was for his children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday August 4, 11 am, at Church of the Visitation. Interment will be private.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Wachendorf and Kathleen Mays, his paternal grandparents Robert and Violet Wachendorf, his maternal grandparents John and Mary Carney and his Aunt Joan Murphy.

Surviving Rob are his wife Kristine Milling Wachendorf; his children Aubriana, Alexa, Genevieve, Briella, Robert Patrick, Madeline, Odin and the newest member of the family, Theo; Uncle Thomas Wachendorf; Aunt Eileen Carney and her husband Robert Mainella; his nieces and nephews, Phoebe, Malcolm and, Lydia; he is also survived by his father in law and mother in law, Patrick and Joan Milling; his sister in law Kimberly Purcell and her husband Michael.
