Ocean County Carjacking: Two Suspects Apprehended

Two Arrests Made in Carjacking Incident

A motel on Route 9, Carasaljo Inn, was encircled by a tactical unit after a carjacking was reported on Thursday morning.

Following a confrontation with police, a 52-year-old man who is accused of carjacking in Ocean County has been brought into custody. According to Lakewood police, the incident took place early on Thursday morning close to the New Jersey Transit bus stop at First Street and Lexington Avenue.

Police discovered that the suspect was hiding out in a room at the Carasaljo Inn on Fifth Street and Route 9. The suspect was told to leave the room and the SWAT squad was summoned. According to police, he cooperated and was brought into custody. Additionally, a second person was detained. No one's identity or potential charges were disclosed by the police.
