Around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, officers were called to the scene of a two-car crash on W. Commodore Boulevard near Diamond Road, according to Jackson police.

According to a preliminary investigation, the White 2019 Honda Civic driver, 44, from Freehold, made a left turn onto W. Commodore Blvd. According to Jackson police, it appears that as he made the turn, he did so in the path of a second driver who was driving a silver 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck eastbound on W. Commodore Boulevard. The second driver, who had just minor injuries, was taken to a local hospital while the 44-year-old man died at the site.
