Pharmacy Robbery: Toms River Walgreens Targeted.

According to Toms River Police Department, on April 18, 2024, two men took medication and perfume from the Walgreens on Church Road. The police are now conducting an investigation.

Between 7 and 8 p.m. on Thursday, two men entered the Walgreens at 2479 Church Road and filled duffel bags with stuff, according to Lt. Gene Bachonski.

According to him, three times throughout that period the men entered, loaded the bags, and then left.

A Walgreens employee called police at 8:38 p.m. to report the theft, Bachonski said.

The exact value of the stolen items was not known but was anticipated to be several hundred dollars, he said.
