Police Investigate Deadly Shooting in South Jersey

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was started when a deceased person with a gunshot wound to the head was found on a bike path in a town in South Jersey.

According to authorities, the man's body was found at the bike path area between Aleta Road and Locust Street in Mullica Township on Thursday at around six in the morning.

At the scene, he was declared deceased.

According to officials, the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was homicide.

The investigation is still under progress.
