Seaside Park and Seaside Heights Fire Emergency Crews were sent to 14th Street Beach at 6:45 p.m. for a boater in danger. The boat was initially reported to be 100 yards offshore, making circles in the 3-4 wave as it was being driven in by PD.
Because there were two victims onboard the vessel, SSP and SSH sent their rescue swimmers into the water.
With the help of the waves, the water rescue crew was able to remove them safely off the vessel. Toms River EMS evacuated two victims and examined them. At this moment, it is uncertain what caused the power outage.
