Students from Toms River Schools on Their Way to Regional Science Fair

Students from Toms River Intermediate Schools

Following their success in the Jersey Shore fair, students from all three intermediate schools will compete at the Delaware Valley Science Fair.

After their recognition at the Jersey Shore Science Fair in March, eight intermediate school students from Toms River Regional will compete at the Delaware Valley Science Fair this week.

The Jersey Shore Science Fair, which was held at Stockton University on March 18, honored 15 students who presented research in a range of STEM fields.

Beginning on Tuesday at Drexel University is the Delaware Valley Science Fair.

The honorees from each intermediate school in Toms River are listed below:

Two students from Toms River Intermediate East went on to the Delaware Valley fair, and three students received awards.

  • Alexandra Kanterezhi-Gatto took first place in Botany.
  • Owen Soheily took first place in Chemistry.
    He also received a special award from the American Chemical Society. Alexandra and Owen will be competing at Delaware Valley this week.

  • Bradyen Macom was also given an honorable mention in Physics.
  • Five Students were honored from Intermediate North. Two of those five students are advancing to the Delaware Valley fair.

  • Aaryan Nagaria placed first in Computer Science
  • Dugan Tunney took second place in Physics.
    They will be competing at Delaware Valley this week.

    Students who received honorable mentions were:
  • Emma Mastriano, in Botany;
  • Samantha Rodrick, in Chemistry
  • Krisha Goswami, also in Chemistry.
  • Four students from Intermediate South, also earned invitations to the Delaware Valley fair.

  • Nolan Judge and Bryce Judge placed first in the Team category.
  • Frankie Clarici was second in Environmental Science
  • Brayden Murphy took second in Physics

    Also honored were Zachary Wistreich, who received a third-place ribbon in Chemistry, while honorable mentions went to Samantha Hughes, in Botany, and Guilanna Raso, in Microbiology.
