SUEZ stated on Jan. 18, that crews are nearing the end of the installation of new water mains and individual services, which will improve service and assure system reliability for customers in the coming years. The initiatives, which began in the fall of 2021, are particularly critical for downtown companies and residential communities that rely on SUEZ to keep their water systems running.

"Despite the changing winter weather conditions, our personnel have worked as fast and safely as possible on the infrastructure projects during the day and night," stated Jim Mastrokalos, Director of Operations. "While we understand that some of the work, associated traffic detours, and temporary repairs have caused some concern among our customers," he added, "SUEZ is committed to not only completing the work but also to fulfilling its promise for our crews or authorized contractors to make final restorations."

According to Mastrokalos, an area normally needs six weeks or longer to settle after water main and service renewals, depending on weather conditions, before final paving or vegetation restoration can be done.

"Any areas specifically disturbed as a result of our project work, such as driveways, sidewalks, curbing, landscaping, or plantings, will be replaced in kind," Mastrokalos said. "Customers are reminded that after final restoration, they are responsible for maintenance, which includes seed watering, landscaping, and lawn cutting," he added. SUEZ appreciates the patience and understanding shown by affected customers and commuters throughout the project's final weeks of construction. Customers can contact SUEZ customer support at 877-565-1456 if they have any further inquiries.
