Two People Were Found Fatally Shot Inside a Parked Car on the Street, One of Them Was a Teenager
Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey confirmed Thursday that an incident in which two people were tragically shot last night is under investigated.
Samore Edwards, 18, of Plainfield, New Jersey, has been confirmed as the female victim (Union County). There has yet to be a positive identification of a male victim.
According to the preliminary investigation, officers of the Neptune Township Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Washington Avenue on a complaint of a shooting shortly before 8:15 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday, January 19. Officers discovered the two victims in a parked car at that location; Edwards was pronounced dead at the site, while the male victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
