Teens Trapped After Sand Collapses at Ortley Beach

After sand collapsed on them at a beach in Toms River, New Jersey, a teen boy was trapped and a teen girl was rescued.
The two teenagers, both from Maine, were using frisbees to dig a 10 foot hole in the sand on the beach near Seaview Road around 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to Toms River Mayor Mo Hill. The sand suddenly caved in on them both.
The juvenile girl was rescued by police and EMS personnel that arrived on the spot. However, the teen boy is still stuck.
