Thunderstorm Alert: Possible Tornado Expected in NJ
Due to the increasing risk of strong winds, huge hail, rain, and perhaps an isolated tornado on Saturday evening and into Saturday night, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all 21 counties in New Jersey.
The watch, which is less urgent than a warning, went into force at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Saturday and lasts until 10 p.m.
Philadelphia and New York City are also under the severe thunderstorm watch.
According to the weather service, "as of early this afternoon, the severe weather threat has moved a bit further south and west with the predominant concern being damaging wind gusts." "North and west of the I-95 corridor continue to pose the worst hazard for severe potential." Stay up-to-date with the latest weather
forecast.
