Despite a great effort by Toms River East Little League they were defeated by Upper Providence Little League, (Oaks, PA) in Game 8 of the 2021 Little League Mid-Atlantic Region tournament in Bristol, Connecticut.

Toms River East lost 6-1 to Pennsylvania on Thursday night but that does not mean they are not done fighting for a spot at the Little League World Series.

Their World Series hope is still alive with a Game 9 vs Delaware at 7 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 on ESPN in the elimination bracket final. Toms River already played Delaware, who lost to Toms River East 3-0 on Sunday.

Because the international teams are unable to travel to Williamsport due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Little League World Series is taking the top two teams from each region.

The tournament winner will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Aug. 19-29.
