Toms River East Wins 2021 Little League State Championship

Toms River East Little League is one step closer to going to the Little League World Series.

These kids know how to play the game. Their hitting, fielding and pitching is a sure thing. On the mound was Carson Frazier and Dominic Roma.

Toms River East managed 12 hits, including several extra base hits from Carson Frazier, who hit a three run homerun and two line-drive doubles from Steven Malato. Christopher Tennaro and Dominic Roma each provided RBI singles.

Toms River East defeats Hillsdale 8-4 in the 2021 NJ Little League State Tournament Championship.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Toms River East became the eighth Jersey Shore Little League program to win the state title in the 12-year-old division since 2010 and Toms River East won its first state title since 1999. During the 1990s, Toms River East dominated New Jersey baseball winning state titles in 1995, 1998 and 1999.

SO WHAT'S NEXT FOR THESE TALENTED PLAYERS?

They will be heading to Bristol, Connecticut to compete in the Little League Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament from August 8-14. Toms River East will play in game 1 of that tournament at 10 a.m. on August 8 against the Delaware state champion, Canal Little League.
