AMC lowes in Toms River Closing

Last Movie Showings this Weekend

As of Monday, Toms River will only have one movie theater left after AMC Loews closes its Seacourt 10 location.

According to the AMC website, the Seacourt 10 AMC theater, which debuted in 1990 and is located in the Seacourt Pavilion shopping center on Hooper Avenue, will show its final films on Sunday.

According to its website, AMC has 25, not including the Toms River theater, 950 theaters and 10,500 screens worldwide.

The Seacourt theater has mostly remained the same over its 32 years of operation, despite the corporation upgrading a number of its theaters and highlighting its innovations on its website, including dine-in cinemas. That held true even after the Route 37 west location of Marquee Cinemas, which featured recliners and all-digital projection, opened its doors in June 2007.
