Tragic Fatality at Lakewood's Ocean County Recycling Center

According to the Asbury Park Press, an employee of Ocean County was killed while working at the Ocean County Northern Recycling Center in Lakewood on Wednesday, according to police, and the event is being looked into by the authorities.

According to Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith, emergency responders were called to the county recycling site at 800 Towbin Ave. in Lakewood on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m.

Working in or near a sizable dumpster is how the worker was murdered, according to Staffordsmith. The worker's identity remains undisclosed.

According to Staffordsmith, the incident's cause is currently being looked into by the police, and further details will be made public as they become available.
