COVID-19 DRIVE THRU TESTING CENTER AT OCEAN COUNTY COLLEGE HAS REACHED CAPACITY

According to the Ocean County Health Department, the COVID-19 test location at Ocean County College reached capacity on Wednesday and is no longer taking new patients.

Before testing began at 10 a.m., the drive-thru test center was at capacity for the day, and administrators sent out a notification saying it would not take any more patients just after 10 a.m. Vehicles were lined up outside the clinic well before it opened, according to officials.

Due to a sudden surge in cases and increased testing as a result of holiday parties and travel, COVID-19 tests have been tough to come by.

The OCC test site, which does not require appointments, will reopen at 10 a.m. on Thursday and will remain open until it reaches capacity, according to the health department.

According to OCHD, residents who wish to receive a COVID-19 test are encouraged to visit the following link to find available COVID-19 testing locations near them. TESTING LOCATIONS
