Tragic Discovery: Man's Body Found in Navesink River
The body of a man who was reported missing in Rumson early on Tuesday morning has been found in the Navesink River, according to local authorities. The man died after going fishing.
Chief Robert A. Boyer of Rumson police said on Tuesday afternoon that at around 5:25 a.m., the Monmouth County 911 Center contacted them regarding a missing person who had gone kayak fishing near the Oceanic Bridge.
According to him, Sea Bright Fire Rescue helped with the search and found a body in the Navesink River.
Boyer stated that the State Police, who are in charge of the inquiry, are handling the identity of the man as of right now.
