Flash flood warnings have been issued for seven New Jersey counties as slow-moving storms loaded with moisture continue to dump heavy rain across parts of the state Wednesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, some locations—primarily near and along the Interstate 95 corridor—have already received up to an inch of rainfall, with another 1 to 2 inches possible.
The first warning, issued around 1 p.m., includes northwestern Burlington County, northwestern Camden County and northeastern Gloucester County. It remains in effect until 5 p.m.
A second warning, issued at 1:15 p.m., covers northwestern Gloucester County and is set to expire at 5:15 p.m.
A third warning was issued at 1:25 p.m. for south-central Mercer County and northeastern Burlington County, and is in effect through 5:30 p.m.
