Body Found of 24 Year Old Toms River Man Who Jumped Off Driscoll Bridge

Toms River Man Jumps off Driscoll Bridge and Commits Suicide

On Sunday, August 22, 2021, according to a preliminary investigation, police were notified by several motorists driving on the Driscoll Bridge that a person jumped off the extension and landed in the water.

Marine units from Perth Amboy, Laurence Harbor and the Sayreville Police Department were all dispatched to the scene to assist in searching for the person.

The New Jersey State Police responded around 11:30 am Sunday to the Driscoll Bridge. The 24 year old man's body was recovered from the Raritan River by the Perth Amboy Police and Fire Department Marine Units at about 12:30 p.m. The body was reportedly recovered near the Cornucopia Princess cruise lines and the NJ State Police crime scene unit was notified.

The incident is under investigation.
