Brush Fire in Baywood Section of Brick Township

Brush Fire

No Homes Were Damaged

According to Brick Township Police Department, they responded to a report of a brush fire on Tuesday afternoon around 1 pm, in the wooded area close to Alameda and East Coral Road in Brick Township.

No injuries or property damage were recorded.

The fire was put out by the Herbertsville, Laurelton, Breton Woods, and Pioneer Hose Fire Companies. Along with the Point Pleasant Boro, Point Pleasant Beach, and Silverton Fire Departments, the NJ Forest Fire Service assisted in putting the fire under control.

As a precaution, several of the homes close to the fire were evacuated. Since brush fires are so difficult and unpredictable, Chief David Forrester wants to applaud and thank all the responders.
